Step 1) Fill out an application.
Step 2) Await a call to have a discussion with Tonya at Rowan Retrievers to ensure this litter is the best fit for your family.
Step 3) Come for an optional visit. (Those who wish to visit in an online Zoom format or by phone are welcome to forgo an invitation to meet the parent dogs, puppies, and members of our family in person.)
Step 4) Make a decision and put down a deposit. Your deposit can be to reserve a "particular" sex, a"preferred" sex, or "either" sex. If you choose to reserve a particular sex and that sex is not available at the time you are in line to choose, a full refund will be issued.
Step 5) Get web page picture and text description updates on the progress and disposition of the littermates. Pups will be collar color-coded for ease of tracking.
Step 6) At week 6, selections for the litter will begin with visits in the order the initial deposits were received. Half the remaining balance is due at this time.
Step 7) All pups will have a final 7-week vet check up.
Step 8) Pay the final balance during puppy pick-up. All pups can go to homes during week 8 if they are being picked up in person.
Step 9) Pups needing to travel by air are legally required to be 8 weeks of age prior to boarding. We are happy to make any needed arrangements for air travel from PDX or LAX (or regional airports) at additional cost to the owner. Crating and shipping puppies within the USA generally costs about $300. Due to the various current quarantine restrictions for Covid, we will not be shipping puppies out of the contiguous United States. Delivery to your local airport by air nanny service where I fly with your pup in the cabin and meet you in the airport or further drive it to your home is also available. Ask if you would like a pricing proposal for your city and delivery needs.
Step 10) Any pups not able to be picked up at 8 weeks can be kept for a boarding rate of $35 per day/night. If pups are to be left for longer than a few days, we will begin their basic command training along with the boarding for $40 per day/night.
